Alumni Open Water Swim

In celebration of our 50 Year Anniversary, and our proud history of swimming accomplishments over these years, we are inviting our Alumni to compete in an Open Water Swim Challenge.

Swimmers will complete the 1 kilometre course at Bunbury’s iconic Koombana Bay Beach. Several IRBs crewed by experienced and qualified staff will remain on the course at all times.  Swimmers will be escorted around the course by several kayaks being paddled by experienced and qualified lifesavers.

Programme of Events
10.00 am        Briefing all Swimmers and Safety crew
10.15 am         Swimmers Start
11.30 am         Finish Swim
11.45 am         Presentations of awards by President of OGA

Conditions of Entry
All entrants must be former students of Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School

Awards and Medals:
Participants are required to register at the Registration Desk upon arrival and will be given a special 50 Year Anniversary Swimming Cap. Every swimmer completing the course will be also awarded a 50 Year Anniversary Medal.  Prizes will be awarded to the fastest female and male competitors (age groupings) on the day.

Age Groups (age at date of Swim):
18 – 25 Years
26 – 35 years
36 – 45 Years
46 – 55 Years
56 Years +
