Interschool Equestrian Championships 2025

The Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School Equestrian Team has showcased its talent, determination and team spirit at the 2025 Interschool Equestrian Championships, held in Perth during April. Competing across a wide range of disciplines including Show Jumping, Eventing, Dressage, Combined Training and Show Horse, our students represented the School with pride and poise, and we are so proud of what they’ve accomplished so far!

Amongst a highly competitive field, our Students achieved outstanding results, earning the title of Champion Secondary Rural School, and securing the position of Reserve Champion Overall Secondary School, a remarkable achievement for our dedicated team:

Juliet Giumelli, Y6
Chloe Wood, Y8
Milla Vukelic, Y9
Holly Greening, Y10

Harriet Forrest, Y12
Kelsey Lubcke, Y12
Demi Perkins, Y12

Together, the team delivered an impressive collective performance, with a number of riders also achieving significant individual success:

  • Harriet Forrest was awarded Overall Reserve Champion Secondary Rural Rider and received several High Point Off the Track awards across Dressage, Show Horse and Combined Training

  • Chloe Wood claimed 1st Place in the Eventing Champion division

  • Juliet Giumelli was named Reserve Champion in the Primary Show Hunter Championship

  • Milla Vukelic earned 3rd High Point Off the Track Eventing

  • Demi Perkins placed 3rd overall in the Senior Show Jumping 1m Class

  • Kelsey Lubcke finished 4th overall in the Preliminary Dressage Participant Senior Secondary Class

In addition to the impressive individual results, the collective efforts of Harriet Forrest, Holly Greening, and Milla Vukelic led to BCGS being named Champion Secondary Rural School and Reserve Champion Overall Secondary School, as a result of their combined consistency and performance across multiple events.

This year’s Championships have also opened up new opportunities for our students. Six riders have been invited to apply for selection in the upcoming National Interschool Equestrian Championships, to be held in Sydney in September, an exciting next step for our accomplished equestrians! There will also be an awards evening in June, where students will be officially recognised for their achievements and will have the chance to represent the School one final time for the 2025 season.

Congratulations to all riders on your hard work, success, and the way in which you continue to represent Bunbury Grammar with excellence.
