BCGS Ranked #5 out of 30 top performing Duke of Ed WA Awards Centres

We’re proud to be a leading Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Centre – and the numbers back it up!

“The Duke of Edinburgh is a Youth Award program, aimed to help challenge young people and keep them gainfully engaged in their teenage years by completing 4 categories, which are Physical Recreation, Voluntary Service, Skills and Adventurous Journey. I started the Duke of Edinburgh Award a couple of years ago and have almost finished my silver. I just need to remember to keep logging my voluntary hours as I am almost there! I will be applying for Uni at the end of this year and I know that having my silver award will be a great addition to my application as well as to my resume when I apply for jobs later on.” – Liesl Venter, BCGS Duke of Ed Captain 2025.

In the latest state data from Duke of Ed WA, Bunbury Grammar with a total completion rate of 118%, was ranked 5th overall in Western Australia for 2023-2024 , out of more than 30 high-performing Award Centres. These results reflect the outstanding efforts and commitment of Duke of Edinburgh Leaders and participants alike. Even more impressive? Our students don’t just start the Award – they finish it. We’ve outpaced some of the most prominent Perth schools when it comes to completion rates, proving that perseverance and purpose thrive here in the South West!

These achievements are more than just numbers, they’re a testament to the resilience, motivation, and heart of our students! We are proud to offer the opportunity to offer the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award that empower young people to grow into capable, confident, and community-minded leaders. With continued support from our dedicated staff and the unwavering spirit of our participants, we look forward to seeing even more students reach their goals and discover their full potential!
