Campus and Facilities

Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School is nestled in an expanse of bushland, 10 kilometres south of the city of Bunbury.

Our Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary students each have their own spaces within the wider School campus where students are free to play, learn and grow by enjoying their purpose-built play spaces and buildings.

Design and Technology Centre

Our Design and Technology Centre includes a workshop area for wood, metal and plastic work while the modern classrooms provide a space for students working with computers, photography and design equipment.

The Year 7 Centre provides a gradual transition from Primary to the greater independence of Secondary. Enjoying purpose-built learning areas, dedicated recreational space and access to all Secondary School has to offer, our Year 7 students can acclimatise at their own pace.

The Tony Brooker Sports Pavilion includes home and away change rooms, a general purpose room and a large function room which includes a kitchen, servery and storage areas. The two adjacent playing fields are used for Soccer, Hockey and Cricket (turf wicket). Palmer Oval offers separate facilities at the rear of the Pavilion.

With a seating capacity of 120, our fully equipped theatre with sound and lighting hosts many performances. An adjacent Music classroom and instrumental Music practice rooms centrally locate our Music and Drama program.

Nature Play

Our Nature Play themed outdoor areas adjacent to each of our Early Childhood classrooms bring nature to the forefront of playtime for students.

Library (click for Gallery)

The Lishman Library is a vibrant multi-use facility, which caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 and welcomes members of the community to utilise its resources. Recent updates have made all areas more accessible. Students are welcome to use the Library to socialise and study before and after school, with teaching and library staff available to assist within the Library opening hours. Special requests for resources and assistance are welcome.

Boarding (click for Gallery)

Marie Palmer and June Reilly are our two Boarding houses. Our Boarders live in self-contained, cottage-style accommodation with each cottage housing up to nine boarders of varying ages. Students have bedrooms rather than dormitories. Shower, toilet and laundry facilities are shared and each unit has a kitchen and an eating area.
