We can’t wait to welcome our newest students and families to Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School! Orientation Day is one of our favourite events of the year – a day filled with excitement, new friendships, and a first real taste of what it means to be part of our Grammar community. This year’s Orientation Day will be held on Monday 24 November 2025, for all students entering Kindergarten to Year 12 in 2026.
Boarding Orientation
Sunday 23 November 2025 | From 2.30pm
Father Brian Newing Café
Our Boarding students and families begin their adventure a little earlier. Join us at the Café, meet our wonderful Boarding staff, and get to know other new families. Students will stay overnight in Boarding, enjoying fun activities, a shared dinner, and an evening outing with their new housemates. Parents will have a chance to hear more about life in Boarding, ask questions, and connect with the team who will be supporting your child next year.
For all the details (including what to bring), please download the Boarding Orientation Schedule.
Orientation Day (All Students)
Monday 24 November 2025 | 8.45am start
Please arrive in time to be seated in the Chapel of St Francis and St Clare by 8.45am.
Parking is available at the Irene Bourne Carpark (off Jenour Court) and the Eastern Carpark – see our map for details.
We’ll begin the day together in the Chapel for a warm official welcome, before students head off to explore their new classrooms and meet teachers and buddies. Parents are invited to stay for a short information session and morning tea with key staff. Campus tours will be available for families who haven’t yet had one, and our Clothing Shop team will be onsite to show you what you’ll need to start in 2026.
What You’ll Need On The Day

Primary students (K-6 in 2026): bring a hat, water bottle and wear comfortable casual clothes suitable for sport. Bring your own morning tea and lunch, and we’ll supply an icy treat at the end!
