Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the traditional owners of this land both past and present. This land is the home of the Noongar people. We are standing now on Wardandi country the place of the dolphin dreaming. The Wardandi people are the coastal people and have strong links to this area. With respect to the current Wardandi people and ancestors of the past we thank them for accepting us. Today with mutual respect and understanding, we acknowledge the past and its differences and now look forward to working together to build strong relations.

Wellbeing

A Focus on Wellbeing

Wellbeing at Grammar is about more than support when things feel hard - it’s about creating a school environment where students feel known, valued and confident to be themselves. Through strong wellbeing structures, positive guidance and specialist care, we partner with families to support each child’s growth and wellbeing.

Primary

In our Primary School, wellbeing is supported through a Positive Behaviour Support approach grounded in the shared values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.

These expectations are taught explicitly and reinforced consistently through classroom programs, restorative conversations, buddy systems, assemblies and wellbeing initiatives.

When challenges arise, the focus is on guiding children to understand their choices, repair relationships and move forward positively, within a caring and supportive environment where families and staff work closely together.

Wellbeing Spotlight

Showing benefit 1 of 3: Stymie

Introduced at Bunbury Grammar in April 2025, Stymie is a powerful online tool that enables students to report concerns anonymously, anytime.

When the problems students are facing feel too big to talk about face-to-face - be it bullying, their mental health, self harm or something else that doesn’t feel right – Stymie can be used to let us know, safely and privately. The Stymie button can be found on student’s SEQTA homepage.

Wellbeing Support

Alongside the care and guidance students receive through Home Groups, Houses and wellbeing teams, our School is supported by a small team of specialist wellbeing professionals. Our School Psychologist, Social Worker and School Nurse bring expertise, perspective and continuity of care, working in partnership with students, families and staff to help each young person feel safe and confident at school.
