Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the traditional owners of this land both past and present. This land is the home of the Noongar people. We are standing now on Wardandi country the place of the dolphin dreaming. The Wardandi people are the coastal people and have strong links to this area. With respect to the current Wardandi people and ancestors of the past we thank them for accepting us. Today with mutual respect and understanding, we acknowledge the past and its differences and now look forward to working together to build strong relations.

Round Square and International Opportunities

Introduction

Student life at Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School reaches far beyond our campus. Through Round Square, students connect with other young people from around the globe, sharing ideas, experiences and perspectives that shape who they are and how they see the world.

Round Square experiences are built around putting action to intention. Whether travelling overseas, welcoming exchange students, working on service projects or collaborating online, students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zone, ask questions, build confidence and discover what matters to them.

Service Opportunities

Round Square service projects give students the chance to make a genuine difference. Locally and internationally, students work alongside peers and communities to contribute to meaningful, real-world initiatives.

Opportunities include Round Square International Service Projects (RSIS) for students aged 16+, as well as School-supported service trips for Years 9–11 within Australia and overseas. These experiences challenge students, deepen empathy and help young people understand the impact they can have, together.

Online Global Experiences

Not every global experience requires travel. Through Round Square online programs, students connect with peers from around the world during class time.

- Round Square Study Labs link learning with global perspectives - from practicing languages to exploring environmental challenges and world history.

- Zoom Postcards invite students to share everyday life, culture and ideas with young people from up to 30 Round Square schools in a single session.

These student-led conversations build confidence, curiosity and a deeper understanding of the world - all from the classroom!
