Death comes to us all. When he comes to Mort, he offers him a job...
A Discworld Comedy by Terry Pratchett, adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs
It's an unusual role - board, lodging, free use of the company horse, and no need to take time off for family funerals - but Mort has been chosen as Death's apprentice, and there's really no saying no. All goes well until Mort is left in charge for the evening and, instead of collecting the soul of a beautiful (if rather bad-tempered) princess, he kills her would-be assassin instead. It's a small act of mercy - but it changes history and threatens to unravel the future of the Discworld itself.
Sharp, funny and full of Pratchett's trademark wit, Mort is a fantastical comedy about growing up, mortality, and what it really means to be human.
