Year 11 & 12
Whether their next step after Secondary School is University, undertaking a trade apprenticeship or taking a year off to work abroad, our students receive the support and information they need to make decisions that will place them well to pursue their goals and ambitions.
For over 40 years Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School has been offering and helping our students in vocational education training. From career breakfasts where students get to talk to people working in their field of interest to undertaking vocational work in Year 12, there are many opportunities for students to explore a diverse range of career options.
Our Senior Mentoring programme provides support and advice to Secondary students considering their next steps after Secondary School. The Senior Mentor also assists students in making the transition from Year 12 into their first year of university, work or study. By staying in contact with students once they have graduated the Senior Mentor can offer support during their progression from Secondary to Tertiary education as well as life beyond the School.
An essential component of the pastoral care of each student is individual counselling regarding courses that might best suit their future vocation. Our Careers and VET department guide students with workplace experience, TAFE, apprenticeship and work experience options. Our Head of Academic also provides students with information on subjects and courses and the best subject choices for their tertiary entry requirements.
