Careers and VET Programs
All students will complete a Career Education program in Year 10 along with two four-day blocks of Work Experience.
Vocational Education and Training (VET)
Students in senior Secondary School have access to a variety of nationally recognised courses from Certificate I to Advanced Diplomas. All TAFE VET in School courses are available to our students along with courses from the Regional Trade Training Centre.
Regional employers hold graduates from Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School in very high regard and our students are sought after for apprenticeships and traineeships after completing Year 12.
The School has a subscription to Career Voyage an online career guidance program. This is a very effective tool for students to get some direction into researching possible careers. It is most valid when done with the assistance of an adult as students can be guided through the program and are encouraged to think through their responses. To access this resource follow the Career Voyage link. An instruction sheet is also available for access information.
There are many fantastic resources available online a small selection is listed below.
Mrs Belinda Walker has many resources that can be useful in giving students some direction for further study and employment. Please contact Mrs Walker firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like a meeting.
The School offers our Year 12 students and former students the opportunity to discuss university and TAFE courses as well as GAP year opportunities with the Senior Mentor, Mark Stapleton. Mr Stapleton may be contacted by email at email@example.com or on (08) 9722 6017.
