Fourteen students represented the School in WAJO, a high level maths problem solving competition that BCGS hosts for South West schools in collaboration with UWA, on Saturday, 28 October.
This year, 76 local students sat the same papers at the same time as city students - a 100 minute individual paper and a 45 minute team paper.
Shvetanshu Dave was the Year 7 runner-up, and Claudia Waddingham was the winner in the Year 8 cohort for the South West in the individual paper section.
For the team papers, our Year 8 team were runners-up (Emilija Lewis, Henry Openshaw and Will Robinson) and the Year 9 team were awarded with first place (Zoe McGregor, Thomas McGregor, Jing da Luo and Year 8 Claudia Waddingham).
Other participating schools included Bunbury Catholic College, Australind Senior High School, Newton Moore Senior High School, Bunbury Senior High School and Dalyellup College.
Well done to all participants!
