Starting Well
All new Secondary and all Year 7 students will be starting the year on Monday, 30 January 2023 with a Starting Well day. Students should arrive wearing full Summer Uniform. The School private bus service will be operating on this day in accordance with the advertised Schedule.
Boarding
Boarding will be open from 8.30am for new students to put items in Boarding units. Time is allocated in the afternoon for students to set up their rooms.
Schedule
8.30am to 9am | Students and parents meet and greet with Heads of House | Quadrangle |
9.15am | Welcome from Head of School and Head of Secondary | Quadrangle |
9.30am | Students depart. Students in Years 8 to 12 will meet Home Group teachers, have a tour of the School, meet subject teachers, and be issued with laptops and textbooks. | Secondary Campus |
Year 7 students will meet Year 7 staff, be allocated lockers and have a tour of the School. | Year 7 Centre | |
Parents are invited to an introductory and welcome session from the Head of School and Head of Secondary, including SEQTA and other School communications channels. | Father Brian Newing Café; Morning tea will be provided. Parents are welcome to depart at the conclusion of Morning Tea. | |
12.20pm-1.15pm | Lunch provided for students. All new students will have lunch provided at the School café. | |
2.45pm | Year 7 parents are invited to a final camp information session in the Year 7 Centre. | Year 7 Centre |
1.15pm-3.10pm | Afternoon activities continue for students. | |
3.10pm | Students who will be travelling on the School private bus service will be assisted with these arrangements at the end of the day.
Boarding students will be escorted to Boarding and be assisted to commence setting their units up. |

4.30pm-5.45pm | Welcome Sundowner for all Boarding parents hosted by Head of School and Head of Boarding | Tony Brooker Pavilion |

Year 7 – What to bring
- Students will need to bring bathers, a towel and goggles for swimming, along with any change of clothes needed, as there will be a session after lunch at the South West Sports Centre, playing games and doing swim assessments prior to the Year 7 Camp.
- Students may bring stationery however, there will be time in Week 2 for students to set up their locker
Years 8 to 11 – What to bring
Students are welcome to bring any stationery they have purchased.
Boarding students – What to bring
All Boarding students should arrive with all clothing and School requirements for Term 1. A list of recommended Boarding Provisions can be viewed here.
