Boarding

Activities & Programmes

For our Boarders, it is essential that we offer a busy and full programme of out of school activities. As well as access to the Lishman Library, the Design and Technology Centre and the sporting and music centres at the School, our Boarding programme provides an enormous range of activities.

From early morning and afternoon swimming and surfing at local beaches in Terms 1 and 4 to inter-Boarding House competitions to a wide variety of weekend and evening events, our Boarders are never short of something to do.

Boarders are also expected to become involved in the extensive co-curricular programme offered by the School. Activities range from sporting teams to clubs such as the Science Club and Fine Woodwork and Metalwork lessons.

In addition to the weekday School-based activities, Boarders have the opportunity to be involved in a myriad of organised activities either on School days or at the weekends. All activities are supervised by Boarding staff and provide students with the chance to mix across age groups and form friendships amongst other students with similar interests.

Our weekend activities take students further afield. Past trips include a football trip to Perth, a day out at Adventure World, a soccer trip to see Perth Glory play, a visit to Fremantle and to the Sculptures by the Sea exhibit at Cottesloe beach.

Boarders also enjoy a range of events organised to provide a social outlet for our young residents. Socials, trivia nights and end-of-year events are all popular fixtures on the School Boarding calendar and are often the source of fond memories long after leaving our Boarding family.
