Swimmers Strike Gold!

Grammar students struck Gold at Swimming WA’s Country Championships at the Challenge Pool in Perth on the first weekend in 2014.  Swimming for their respective swimming clubs, members of the School Swim team had a combined haul 16 Gold medals, 24 Silver medals, 12 Bronze medals. Personal best times tumbled for all those that competed.  A marvellous way to start the New Year!

Tahlia Jensen led the way with six titles as well as three seconds and 2 thirds during the three day carnival, with one of the younger students, Liam Williams, amassing an impressive two titles and five seconds and two thirds.

Gerred McCracken (3 Gold, 3 Silver, 3 Bronze)

Steven Bennett (5 Silver)

Hannah Doret (1 Gold)

Jacob Dubois (2 Gold, 5 Silver, 2 Bronze)

Jye Jensen (2 Bronze)

Van Butler  (1 Silver, 1 Bronze)

Chelsea McCracken, Zoe Butler, Ella Butler swam impressively in multiple finals and were just outside scoring a medal on several occasions.
