Celebrating Excellence in 2014

Congratulations to the Class of 2014 on their encouraging academic results in last year’s Western Australian Certificate of Education course results.  For the seventh consecutive year 100% of students graduated with a WACE. The Class of 2014 performed admirably with 56 students from a class of 64 also earning an ATAR – a rate of 87.5%. Additionally, an impressive 25% of students who earned an ATAR were awarded for their hard work throughout the year with a score higher than 90. It is pleasing to see our graduating students turning their hard work throughout the year into solid results. Well done!

Many of our graduating students are university bound, with 54 of our graduating students applying for a place at University. As a group, these tertiary bound students earned a median ATAR score of 80.75 and in addition 94% have been offered their first or second course preferences.

Our students have performed highly in individual subjects this year with Year 11 student Tara Greenhalgh being awarded a Course Exhibition in French. Certificates of Commendations, awarded to students who obtain at least 20 A grades in course units or equivalent and achieve the WACE, were awarded to Steven Bennett, Samantha Goerling, Tom Kerrigan, Chris Massey, Curtis Read and Avijoy Roy Choudhury.

Our vocational students have also achieved excellent results and leave us ready to share their skills with the workforce and grow through apprenticeships, job offers and further learning opportunities. We wish them all the best for this exciting new chapter of their lives.

Our graduating students can be proud to be remembered as a class who, although small, embraced many aspects of our School community during their time here, whether their beginnings started in Kindergarten, Primary or Secondary School. As a group they took advantage of the myriad of opportunities that our School has to offer including serving their community both locally and internationally. They represented our School in sporting, leadership, co-curricular and academic achievements and will be remembered as an inspiring group of students by those who follow in their footsteps. During their time at our school our Class of 2014 have flourished, and we wish them every success in their future endeavours. Well done!
