ACC Swimming Results

On Tuesday,  21 March, the BCGS Secondary swimming team travelled to Challenge Stadium in Perth to compete in the B division ACC Swimming Carnival, one of nine carnivals extending to I division and incorporating 72 schools.  Overall, it was a brilliant team effort and those involved should be very proud of the manner in which they represented our School. We finished in 7th place, ranking us 15th out of the 72 schools involved. To put our swimmer’s efforts into perspective, the other schools in our division have far more students to select from than BCGS. The winning school has over 1700 students in Years 7 to 12 (roughly triple our size).

Congratulations to our senior girls who were presented with a shield for winning their division. Also, the following students were champions or runners up in their respective year groups: Samuel Ellis 4th in U/14, Tom Delroy 4th in U/15, Jye Jensen U/16 champion boy, Ella Butler U/16 champion girl, Zoe Butler U/17 champion girl, Tahlia Jensen 4th in U/19.

Special thanks to Mr Bob Marshall for his continued commitment to the development of our swimmers. Thanks also goes to the wonderful parents and staff who travelled with the portion of our team who stayed in Perth prior to the carnival who looked after and kept them fed. Full results and times can be found on the ACC website.
