F1inSchools Competition

This year 16 Year 10 Technical Graphics students have been given the opportunity to enter an exciting competition that will potentially see them racing at a State, National and possibly International level!

The competition is called the F1inSchools Challenge and is run by a not for profit organisation, Re-Engineering Australia (REA) . The students are working in teams of four to design, manufacture, present and race a Co2 powered, scale model Formula 1 style car. They are using state-of-the art software, as used by Boeing, Airbus and Toyota and many others, to design their cars.

The first school based race day will be on Thursday September 11. The two winning teams from this race will be off to Perth to compete in the State Championships held on Friday September 19. The team websites have just gone live and will be being updated by the students on a weekly basis. Click on the link below to be taken directly to their websites.
