The Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School Parents and Friends' Association began supporting the Cancer Council WA five years ago, by raising funds at an afternoon tea. This year they have decided to support breast cancer, as this has affected many Grammar families and families in the South West, and sadly will continue to do so. Breast cancer will affect 1 in 7 Australian women. Perhaps your partner, parent, neighbour or friend is suffering from breast cancer.
As a group, the P&F are passionate about trying to assist patients undergoing radiotherapy, which takes them away from their families and support group, as they need to go to Perth. There is not enough accommodation, and we would like to help under-financed patients, and try and make it a less stressful experience.
Join them for the Breast Cancer Afternoon Tea at 44 Hampstead Street, Gelorup on Sunday November 16th from 2-5pm. The entrance fee of $5 includes afternoon tea. Wear something pink and bring lots of friends.
They will have a wonderful art auction with art by Jenni Doherty and Simon Hemsley, and many other local artists, and a silent auction. Come and have a restful afternoon in lovely surroundings and a beautiful garden, while supporting a good cause.
Please call Helena Spencer on 9795 6697 for further information.
