The spiritual and moral development of our students is encouraged through the whole-school focus on values implicit in all areas of the curriculum. Linked with this are opportunities for worship and a dynamic Christian Education programme.
One of the key roles of the class teacher is to get to know each student in the class well enough to provide ongoing support and nurturing. All students have available to them the support and advice of the School Counsellor. The counselling process at Grammar involves the Counsellor as a listener, an advocate and when appropriate as a giver of advice. The Counsellor is involved in many social activities throughout the School community including camps, spending time in classes, attending various School events, and above all, being ‘visible’ and involved at the grass roots level.

The School Chaplain is a friend and counsellor to the school community, giving spiritual leadership and counsel. The Chaplain is available at all times for personal or religious counselling. The confidentiality and the independence of such contact are expected and respected by the School.
Nurturing young lives is an awesome responsibility and one that we take very seriously. Ensuring that the children in our care are well prepared to engage with life as contributing citizens of the 21st century, able to communicate and negotiate, to think critically and to live life with dignity, care and compassion, is not only our responsibility, but also our delight.
