In mid 2004 the School's Board of Governors adopted a new Strategic Plan to guide the future development of the School, after consultation with staff and parents. This Strategic Plan allowed the future buildings and facilities required by the School to be identified. After consultation with staff and parents during 2006 the Board finalised Master Plan 2 early in 2007. This new Master Plan 2 follows on from Master Plan 1, which was for the period 2000 to 2005 and concluded with the Café project, which officially opened on 31 August 2007.
Some recent Board decisions are incorporated into Master Plan 2. In 2008 we will expand our Boarding capacity from about 105 to 115 Boarders by building additional Boarding Units. Year 7 will become the first entry point for our Secondary School in 2010 and students in four classes will follow a specially constructed Transition Programme, in a purpose built Year 7 Centre, to facilitate a seamless transition from Primary to Secondary education.

The estimated total cost of all of the projects shown in Master Plan 2 was almost $12 million in 2006. After allowing for escalation of costs, which is currently high and likely to remain so in the building industry, the final cost of these projects is likely to be almost $16 million.
Ultimately each project within Master Plan 2 will require individual approval by the Board prior to the project being commenced, as part of the Board's procedures for responsible financial management. Master Plan 2 will always be a "working plan", which means it is flexible and subject to regular review.
