Enrol Me

An education at Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School is an investment in your child's future.  We believe an Anglican, co-educational institution where boys and girls grow together, each learning respect and tolerance for the other, is the best legacy you can give your child.  At Bunbury Grammar, there is a friendly spirit of cooperation between students, staff and parents which makes it a very special place.

Usual Entry Points to the School:

Over the next few calendar years, we will be amending the standard entry points to the School. The standard entry points will be:
2008: Kindergarten, Years 3, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 11
2009: Kindergarten, Years 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 11
2010: Kindergarten, Years 3, 4, 7, 8, 10 and 11
2011 onwards: Kindergarten, Years 3, 7, 10 and 11

Application Process:

Applications may be lodged at any time, but making an early application increases the likelihood of securing a place. Places are offered strictly in chronological order on receiving Application for Enrolment forms.

1. Return a completed Application for Enrolment form, together with the $44.00 Application Fee, to the School Registrar.

2. Students will be offered a conditional place or have their name registered on a waitlist.

3. Two/Three years prior to a student commencing at the School (or one year for Primary age students) parents and student are invited to a meeting with the Headmaster.  This is not a required part of the enrolment process, rather an opportunity for the School and the family to become acquainted.

4. At this time parents are asked to complete an Offer/Acceptance document and to forward payment of a once only non-refundable Endowment Fee.  Currently the Endowment Fee for Secondary students is $1,080.00 and for Primary students it is $860.00. The Endowment Fee is subject to annual indexation from 1 March each year and a maximum of two Endowment Fees per family applies. From 1 March 2009, the Endowment Fee for Primary students will be the same as Secondary students.

5. A copy of the student’s birth certificate and most recent school report is also required.

6. On receipt of the signed Offer/Acceptance document and Endowment Fee, the previous ‘conditional place’ is upgraded to a ‘confirmed place’.

If you require any additional information, you may contact the Registrar, who, if you desire, will arrange a time for you to come to the School so that we can show you around and answer your questions. However, if a visit is not necessary or inconvenient, we may be able to answer your questions by mail, fax, telephone or email.
